For Crystal Wells, serving others comes naturally. As a child raised by a single father, Crystal could cook a full meal by the age of nine. She’s a nurse turned hospital administrator, and now the owner of a successful catering company in South Georgia, too.
But one thing is for certain, from the hospital to the kitchen, Crystal’s servant's heart shines through in everything she puts her mind to.
For years Crystal dreamed of opening a sandwich and dessert shop, but she wasn’t ready to give up her career or sacrifice time with her family.
In 2019 Crystal’s son Alex was nominated for King of his Cairo, Georgia school. To help raise money for the cause, Crystal baked and sold cookies. The positive response from her community was overwhelming, and it sparked a desire for Crystal to pursue her dream of cooking for others professionally.
At the suggestion of one of her early clients, Crystal held a contest to name her new catering business. When the name Cookies and Catering was suggested, it seemed like a natural fit, since baking cookies is how the company originated. Now, in its second year, Cookies and Catering offers much more than just cookies.
